Russia’s ALROSA appoints Ivanov as president for 3 years

MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- The supervisory board of diamond mining giant ALROSA has appointed Sergei Ivanov, a senior vice president of Sberbank and son of presidential envoy Sergei Ivanov, as the president of the company for three years, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The supervisory board of ALROSA decided to appoint Sergei Ivanov as the president of the company at a meeting on March 13, 2017. The contract with Sergei Ivanov is signed for a three-year term,” ALROSA said.

A government directive appointing Ivanov as the company president was signed earlier in March. Ivanov will replace Andrei Zharkov, who signed a letter of resignation in late February.
